Hidetoshi Yokoyama, the president of Robot Consulting Co., Ltd., discussed “How will AI change the judiciary and politics?” with Toru Hashimoto, former governor of Osaka Prefecture and lawyer, and Masaaki Taira, former State Minister of Cabinet Office and member of the House of Representatives.

In light of this AI and changes in the world, the discussion will delve into the issues of digitalization between the legal profession and the political world, the room for the spread of AI among lawyers, politicians, and political parties, and the areas of human responsibility and ethical issues that will be changed by AI, from Yokoyama’s perspective as a business manager, Hashimoto’s as a lawyer, and Taira’s as a politician.

Hashimoto pointed out that the Diet and political parties are slow to digitize. On the other hand, Taira said that one of the causes of this problem is the “custom” in Japanese society that cannot move forward unless each party agrees.
